Bowmore 12 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask is an Islay single malt matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry and ex-Bourbon casks, with a finish in Oloroso sherry casks.
It is typically described as soft on the nose, with vanilla, caramel, toasted oak, red berries and marzipan. The palate brings ripe pears, lemon, cinnamon, toasted almonds and peaches in syrup, with peat smoke building as it goes.
The finish is long, warming and sweet, with spice and smoke that linger.
