Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle. It was matured first in bourbon barrels, then spent its final three years in Oloroso sherry casks.
That time in sherry wood gives the whisky its deep colour and a warming finish.
The nose combines dark chocolate and raisin with the classic Bowmore smokiness. On the palate there are cedar wood and rich treacle toffee, and the finish is spicy, with toffee, sherry and barley.
