This is Bowmore 12 Years Old, an Islay single malt at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in bourbon and sherry casks. Bowmore was founded in 1779 on the shore of Loch Indaal, and this bottling is described as maturing in the No. 1 Vaults, a warehouse below sea level.
Tasting notes begin with coastal smoke and ash on the nose, followed by bergamot, orange peel, lemon, hay and floral notes. The palate is round and smooth, with honey, vanilla, smoke and a deeper peat character. The finish is long and smoky, with sea spray, hay and fresh citrus.
