This is a 15 year old single cask Bowmore from 2011, bottled at 59.9% ABV as a distillery exclusive. It belongs to the Hand-Filled series, introduced at Fèis Ìle in 2013, in which visitors fill, label and seal their own bottles.
The whisky was first matured in an ex-Bourbon cask and then moved to a rum cask for finishing. That differs from the standard Bowmore 15 Year Old, which is a marriage of whiskies from ex-Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks.
