Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt bottled by the distillery at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, and colouring has been added.
The nose opens with sweet vanilla and roasted almonds, moving to stewed apple and warm pastry, with cinnamon, raisins and dark chocolate. The palate adds candied orange, roasted walnuts, blackberry jam and slightly salty touches.
The finish is lasting, with notes of wood smoke and oak spice.
