Bowmore 15 Year Old is an Islay single malt matured first in bourbon barrels and then in Oloroso sherry casks. The final three years are spent in the Oloroso casks, a sherry cask finish that gives the whisky its rich, deep colour.
It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle, and the sherry influence also shows in a robust, warming finish.
