Bowmore – 15 Year Old (43%)

Bowmore 15 Year Old is a peated Islay single malt bottled at 43%. It is made by methods used at the distillery since 1779, with barley malted at its own maltings, turned by hand and dried in smoke from locally cut Islay peat. The whisky matures first in ex-bourbon casks, which give a creamy vanilla and a touch of spice, then completes its maturation in Oloroso sherry casks. These give a deep colour and notes of dark fruit and molasses, alongside smoke with marine touches.
