This is a 16-year-old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was finished in ruby port casks from the Douro Valley.
Bowmore was founded in 1779, which makes it one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, and it is known for balancing smoke with fruit.
The nose brings red fruits and a gentle sweetness, with light smoke. On the palate there are walnuts, chocolate and brown sugar.
