This is a 17 year old Bowmore distilled in 1999, a distillery exclusive release and the final part of the Craftsmens Selection. It was matured in bourbon, sherry and wine casks, and only 3000 bottles were produced.
Bowmore stands on the south eastern shore of Loch Indaal on the Isle of Islay. It is said to have been established in 1779, which makes it one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland.
