Second fill bourbon hogshead
A 17 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, distilled in 2004 and bottled in 2021 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. It comes from a single second fill bourbon hogshead, with the bottle code 3.323 and the name A Flamboyant Extravaganza. 251 bottles were produced. The nose combines bramble jam and engine oil with smoked lobster in clarified butter and a pulled chicken burger with barbecue sauce. The palate offers sweet smoke, blackberry and blackcurrant jam infused with violet liqueur, flaked smoked almonds and peppermint icing. A tiny drop of water brings a maritime note, with seafood, peat-smoked samphire and herbs including juniper, coriander, rosemary and lavender.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
