This is an 18-year-old Islay single malt from Bowmore, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. Bowmore was founded in 1779 by John P. Simpson. The whisky is matured in hand-selected oak casks and has a delicate mahogany colour. On the nose there are creamy caramel sweets with ripe fruit and smoke. The palate is mild, with fruit and chocolate and a light smokiness. The finish is long and well balanced.
