Bowmore 1990/2025 is a 34-year-old Islay single malt from Murray McDavid's Aficionado series. It was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2025 at 41.4%, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. The release runs to 160 bottles.
After many years in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky spent two further years finishing in small Oloroso sherry octaves.
The nose offers floral smoke, salty peach, light peat and coastal air. On the palate come warm fruit, embers, cloves, cigar leaf and sherry spice. The finish is long, maritime, floral and gently smoky.
