This is a Bowmore single malt distilled in 1995 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in its Octave series. It is bottled at 50.1% in a 70cl bottle.
Bowmore stands on the shore of Loch Indaal, in the middle of the island of Islay. Its name is usually translated as "the great reef". The distillery was founded in 1779 and has belonged to the Japanese group Suntory since 1994. Its water comes from the River Laggan.
