Bowmore – 20 Year Old Oak Voyage (Snarkitecture Captivo Collection 2026) (50.8%)

This is a 20 year old Islay single malt bottled at 50.8% ABV, released in 2026 as Edition 01 of the Captivo Collection, a collaboration between Bowmore and the New York design practice Snarkitecture. The packaging was inspired by Bowmore's No.1 Vaults and comes in a black box with orange and red contour artwork. The whisky was finished in Oloroso sherry seasoned American oak butts, giving sweetness, dried fruit and oak alongside Bowmore's gentle peat smoke. The nose is salted toffee, dried fruit, orange peel, tobacco and honey. The palate has dark cherry, candied orange and honey with cool eucalyptus and toasted oak. The finish is smooth and vanilla-sweet, with a whisper of campfire smoke.
