Bowmore – 2014-2024 10 Year Old Douglas Laing Old Particular Single Cask DL17954 (70cl, 61.1%)

This is a 10-year-old Bowmore single malt from Islay, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range exclusively for Whiskybase. It was distilled in July 2014 and bottled in July 2024. It matured in a single refill barrel, cask DL17954, and was bottled at a natural cask strength of 61.1%, without colouring or chill-filtration. The outturn was 238 bottles. Bowmore was founded in 1779 and stands on the shores of Loch Indaal. The label describes brown sugar and spiced oak, giving way to smoked barley, streaky bacon and warm earth.
