Bowmore – 21 Year Old Aston Martin Master's Selection (70cl, 51.8%)

This is a limited-edition 21 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled at 51.8% in a 70cl bottle. It was created in collaboration between Bowmore master blender Ron Welsh and Marek Reichman, chief creative officer at Aston Martin, as a whisky that reflects the partnership between the two brands. The nose is sweet and nutty, with Manuka honey, maple syrup, praline and grilled hazelnuts, alongside tanned leather, cigar tobacco, liquorice root, dried thyme and heather blossom. On the palate, sherry meets Islay peat, with dark chocolate, black pepper, butterscotch, vanilla, coffee, Morello cherries and a touch of papaya. The finish is sweet, spicy and warming, with oak spice, chestnut cream and coconut.
