Bowmore 21 Years Old is a single malt from the Islay distillery, bottled at 51.4% ABV. It is the fourth and final edition of the Master's Selection series, made in collaboration with Aston Martin.
The whisky brings together malt matured in Tawny Port American oak casks and in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose balances nutty notes with sweetness: roasted hazelnuts, leather, fresh pipe tobacco and oak spice, then dark maple syrup, liquorice and roasted peaches. On the palate come roasted chestnuts, salted toffee, grilled Seville orange peel, dried thyme, sultanas and milk chocolate over peat smoke. The finish is velvety at first, then long, warming and dry.
