This is a 22 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, in a 70cl bottle at 51.5% ABV. It comes from the distillery's collaboration with Aston Martin, announced at the end of 2019, and was blended by master blender Ron Welsh.
It marries Bowmore single malts from 1997 and 2022, matured in American oak hogsheads and Spanish ex-sherry butts.
Tasting notes describe sweet honey and ripe vanilla on the nose, with ripe fruit, spicy oak, liquorice, aniseed, tobacco and eucalyptus. The palate is full and rich, malty and spicy, with toffee, nuts, dates and brown sugar. The finish is long and soft, with ripe fruit, liquorice, spicy oak and a trace of peat smoke.
