This is a 23 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled at 50.9% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Titled Lovers Transformed, it is a collaboration between Bowmore and the graphic artist Frank Quitely, and is one of 8,000 bottles.
The whisky was first matured in American oak hogsheads, then finished in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks.
Bowmore was established in 1779 and still uses its own floor maltings.
