This is a 25 year old single malt from the Bowmore distillery, bottled at 43%. It was matured in a combination of American bourbon casks and Spanish sherry casks, and the sherry influence sits alongside the coastal, smoky character of the distillery.
On the nose there is dark fruit and coastal smokiness with a light spiciness. The palate brings peat smoke, cocoa and a dry, creamy nuttiness. The finish is soft smoke with oak, mocha and hints of plum.
