Bowmore – 25 Years (70cl, 43%)

Bowmore 25 Years is an Islay single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Bowmore was founded in 1779 and was the first legal distillery on the island. It now belongs to the Japanese Suntory group. The distillery sits more exposed to westerly winds than others, and the extra ozone in the air may contribute to the complexity of its flavours. Its character lies between the intense malts of the south coast and the softer malts of the north. This 25-year-old bottling won an award at the International Wine & Spirit Competition.
