This is a 26 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, a distillery exclusive released at the end of 2025 in new packaging. The name on the label has changed from "Hand-filled" to "Crafted by Hand".
The whisky spent 26 years and 9 months maturing in a single PX sherry cask.
The nose is sweet, with overripe plums and blackcurrants, rich caramel and a gentle smoke of ash and tobacco. The palate follows with dense, juicy fruit; it is full-bodied and heavy but clean. The finish holds fruit sweetness and a light trail of tobacco smoke.
