Bowmore – 27 Year Old Timeless Series (52.7%)

Bowmore 27 Year Old is an official distillery bottling from the Timeless Series, an Islay single malt at a cask strength of 52.7% ABV. Only 3,000 bottles were filled. Bowmore was founded by David Simson in 1779 on the shore of Loch Indaal and is regarded as the oldest legal distillery on Islay. It still malts part of its barley by hand on traditional floors and dries it over peat smoke. The whisky is described as ripe dark fruit, creamy sweetness and spice, with fine maritime smoke.
