This is a 27 year old Islay single malt from Bowmore, released in the Timeless Series in an edition of 3,000 bottles.
The whisky spent its first 15 years in sherry and ex-bourbon casks, then moved to first-fill Oloroso sherry butts for a further 12 years. It was bottled at cask strength.
It comes in a box with an hourglass that runs for three minutes, a pause meant for appreciating the nose before the first sip.
