Bowmore 29 Year Old is a limited distillery bottling from Islay, part of the Timeless Series. It brings together bourbon and sherry casks, matured for almost three decades in the No. 1 Vaults.
It was bottled at natural cask strength, 53.7% ABV, with natural colour and without chill-filtration. Only 3,000 bottles were filled, each 70cl.
The nose opens with spicy wood and savoury spices, moving to exotic fruit, dark chocolate and walnuts. On the palate, sweet balsamic, stewed plums, raisins and dates meet fine peat smoke, leather, oak spice and cocoa. The finish is long, with charcoal, light tobacco, pineapple, mango and a pinch of sea salt.
