Bowmore Timeless is a 29 year old Islay single malt, bottled at a cask strength of 53.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a vatting of sherry-seasoned European oak casks and ex-bourbon American oak barrels, filled in 1991 and 1992.
It comes in a black hourglass-shaped box that holds a small hourglass, intended to time three minutes of nosing before drinking.
The notes run to dark fruits like sherry-soaked raisins, rich cocoa, bitter orange, cherry blossom and liquorice. On the palate, sweetness contrasts with robust peat and sea salt.
