Bowmore 30 Year Old is an Islay single malt from the 2022 release, distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2022 at 45.3% ABV. It matured in sherry hogsheads and Bourbon barrels in the Bowmore No. 1 Vaults, and was selected from just two casks. The outturn is 2,556 bottles.
The whisky is burnished gold in colour. The nose offers heather honey, banana and peach, with pineapple, vanilla and butterscotch. On the palate come tropical fruits with honey sweetness, subtle peat smoke and hints of eucalyptus. The finish is warming, with ripe fruit lingering.
