Bowmore 9 Years Old is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. Bowmore was founded in 1779 by David Simson on the shore of Loch Indaal, and the distillery still malts part of its barley on its own malting floors, drying it over peat smoke.
The whisky is a warm amber colour. On the nose, a light veil of peat smoke meets lime and ripe pineapple, with heather honey and creamy toffee beneath.
