A 9-year-old single malt from Bowmore on Islay, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is a medium-peated whisky, matured in both ex-bourbon casks and ex-oloroso sherry casks made from European oak.
The bourbon casks contribute vanilla, and the oloroso sherry casks add depth. The nose is spicy and fruity, with sweet wood, dark berries and a fine note of smoke. On the palate it is rich and balanced, with dried fruit, spice and vanilla. The finish is long, with oak, gentle sweetness and a restrained smokiness.
