Bowmore Aston Martin Series Edition III is an 18 year old Islay single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is one of a set of three whiskies and was released for travel retail only.
The spirit spent its maturation in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks. The box shows the Aston Martin DB Mk III, the first model to feature in the James Bond film Goldfinger.
The nose is intense dark chocolate, treacle and medjool dates. On the palate come bitter-sweet orange peel and coffee roasted over peat smoke, followed by a finish of velvet mocha and macadamia nut chocolate.
