Bowmore Darkest is a 15 year old Islay single malt, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in ex-bourbon casks, then spent a further three years in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose offers dark chocolate, sun-dried fruits and a wisp of Islay smoke. On the palate there is cedarwood and rich treacle toffee, and the finish is robust and complex, with a hint of sherry tannin.
