Bowmore Devils Cask III is an Islay single malt bottled at 56.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Known as Double the Devil, it is the final bottling in the 2015 Devils Cask release.
It combines the flavours of the first two releases by using first-fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The name draws on a local legend. The Devil is said to have visited the circular church in Bowmore, built so that there were no corners for him to hide in. Chased by the locals into the distillery, he finally escaped in a cask of Bowmore bound for the mainland.
