Bowmore Hand Filled is a distillery-exclusive single cask Islay malt in a 70cl bottle. This one, cask #1567, was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2016 at 7 years old, at a cask strength of 59.6% ABV.
It was matured in a first-fill virgin oak barrel and has a deep honey gold colour. The nose brings toasted vanilla and creme caramel with salted honey and candied lemon peel. On the palate there are roasted pear, baked apricot and banana on cinnamon toast, and the finish turns to chocolate and salted hazelnut, maple syrup and tobacco smoke.
