Bowmore – Ruby Port Cask Finish 16 Year Old (43%)

Bowmore 16 Year Old is an Islay single malt from the distillery on the shore of Loch Indaal, which has been distilling since 1779. It is bottled at 43% and has a deep mahogany colour. The spirit first matured in American ex-bourbon casks and in European oak casks that previously held sherry. A final finish in Ruby Port casks adds dark berry sweetness to the maritime character of the distillery. The flavour moves between peaty smoke, sea salt, dark berries and a soft port sweetness.
