This is an 18-year-old single malt from Bowmore, the Islay distillery, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, then received a finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The nose brings ripe sultanas and plums with a fine note of orange zest, dark chocolate and subtle smoke. The palate is full-bodied, with rich dried fruit, a delicate spiciness and a gentle smokiness. The finish is long and balanced, fruity and smoky together.
