Bowmore Tempest Small Batch Release No.1 is the first Tempest in a series of small batch releases from Bowmore on Islay. It is a single malt bottled at 55.3% in a 70cl bottle.
Bowmore was built in 1779 and is the oldest distillery on Islay. The nose combines earthy peat, crème brûlée and orange blossom with a touch of salt. On the palate, a burst of citrus and orange is followed by the smoky Islay character and a hint of sea salt. The finish is lasting and long, yet fresh.
