Bowmore – Vault Edition No.1 Atlantic Sea Salt (70cl, 51.5%)

Bowmore Vault Edition No.1 Atlantic Sea Salt is the first release in a four-part series from Bowmore, a single malt bottled at 51.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in selected ex-bourbon casks, and the series centres on the salty, maritime character the distillery draws from the Atlantic, with sea spray hitting the seaward wall of the No. 1 Vaults. The nose is sun-ripened fruit sprinkled with seawater. The palate brings salted honeycomb and spicy cocoa with a touch of iodine-soaked blood orange. The finish is long and salty, with blackberry, sea salt and lingering kumquat.
