Bowmore Vault Edition No.1 is the first release in a new series from the Islay distillery, known by the name Atlantic Sea Salt. It is bottled at 51.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in the No. 1 Vaults, a warehouse on the shore of Loch Indaal that lies partly below sea level. Only ex-bourbon casks of American white oak were used, with no sherry casks.
On the nose it is described as a clear sea breeze and fine salt, with sweet vanilla, beeswax and ripe citrus fruit.
