Bowmore – Vaults 2nd Release Limited Edition 2019 (70cl, 50.1%)

This is the second release of Bowmore Vaults, a limited edition single malt from the Bowmore distillery on Islay, bottled at 50.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Bowmore was founded in 1779. The casks were matured in the distillery's famous No. 1 Vaults, which the distillery says brings out the lightly smoky character of Bowmore whisky. The nose is sweet and gently peaty, with Mediterranean herbs. On the palate come sherry sweetness and caramelised fruit, then smoky barbecue notes with a pinch of sea salt.
