Braes of Glenlivet 25 Year Old (70cl, 48%)

This is a 25 year old Speyside single malt from Braes of Glenlivet, the original name of the Braeval distillery. It belongs to the Secret Speyside Collection from Chivas Brothers and was released as a small batch in October 2020. It is bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colouring. The whisky matured in first-fill American oak barrels. The style is sweet and fruit-led, with creamy touches and fresh coconut, set against spice and dryness in the finish. The nose is sweet and fruity, with orange marmalade and melon. On the palate the fruit meets creamy toffee and sweet coconut. The finish is long, spicy and dry.
