This is a 17 year old Speyside single malt from Braeval, bottled by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society under the name Braes of Glenlivet. The whisky is dated 1979. The colour is a dark amber. The nose opens warming, with coffee, black toffee, heavy sherry, chocolate, caramel and pecan pie, later developing slightly meaty notes and a touch of balsamic vinegar. The palate is balanced and powerful, with clove, cinnamon, crystallised orange, kumquat, toffee and vanilla fudge. The finish is bold, rich and very long.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
