Second-fill peated Palo Cortado octave
This is a 16 year old Speyside single malt from Braeval, distilled in 2010 and bottled at 55.8% in a 70cl bottle for Soho Selection. It spent its whole maturation in a second-fill peated ex-Palo Cortado octave. The official notes describe a quiet start on the nose that builds to ripe tropical fruit and white chocolate against an oily backdrop, with subtle smoke that settles into a slightly metallic note. On the palate, industrial smoke gives way to dried dark fruits, espresso, savoury spices, jammy berries and earthy honey. The finish is medium, with honey, gritty smoke and savoury spices.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
