First-fill white Port barrique
This is a 16 year old Braeval from Speyside, distilled in 2010 and bottled at 56.9% in a 70cl bottle for Milroy's Soho Selection. It was fully matured in a first-fill white Port barrique, which turns the distillery's floral style towards a rich, dessert-like character rooted in coffee grounds and dark spices. The nose opens with dark chocolate and strawberry, then honeycomb, lily, a dab of perfume, shoe polish and warm earthiness. The palate brings dates, prunes, tiramisu, cappuccino and liquorice root, with dandelion and burdock and raisins. The finish is very long, with more sweetly spiced tiramisu.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
