This is a single-cask Speyside single malt from Strathmill, bottled independently by Brave New Spirits in its Cask Noir series. It was distilled in 2011 and matured for 11 years in an STR white wine barrique, then bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 59.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered, has no added colour, and 294 bottles were released.
The nose is cut grass, citrus peel and ripe orchard fruit with delicate peppery oak. The palate shows juicy pear, lemon curd and white pepper, with woody spice and creamy malt. The finish is bright and creamy, with lingering lemon sweetness and cinnamon.
