This is a 21 year old Brora single malt, distilled in 1977 and bottled in the Rare Malt Selection at 56.9% ABV. It is gold in colour. The nose brings farmyard and mineral smoke, with cut plants and buttered toast. On the palate there are hay, grass, tobacco, burnt caramel and plenty of cardamom, then kippers, lime juice, salted liquorice, coffee dregs and dried tangerine peel. With water, a little cranberry sweetness and a hint of smoke come through. The finish is long, with touches of peat and salty sea air.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
