This is a 21 year old Brora, a Highland single malt distilled on 25th February 1982 and bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is bottle 256 from cask 281.
The colour is bronze amber. The nose is rich in waxes and greases, with tobacco, tea, old chartreuse, mushrooms and only a moderate smokiness.
The palate brings smoked meat, ham and bacon, followed by oranges and tar, with some salt, chocolate and a sooty note. The finish is quite long and chocolatey, with prunes, salt, oranges and more bacon.
