This is a Brora 22 year old, a Highland single malt distilled in 1972 and bottled in 1995 by United Distillers as part of the Rare Malts Selection. It is a limited bottling at natural cask strength, 61.1%, in a 70cl bottle. The colour is gold. The nose is farmy and fermentary, with straight peat, petrol, camphor, Bakelite and leather; with water, crushed almonds, damp hessian, thymol and lip balm come through. The palate is big and sweet, with mustard, pepper, salt and smoke, and the aftertaste carries menthol and almonds.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
