This is the ninth release of Brora 30 Year Old, an official bottling from the coastal Highland distillery. It was bottled in 2010 at a natural cask strength of 54.3%, in a limited edition of 3000 bottles.
The nose is delicately marine, with seaweed, almond and butter, light vanilla and hints of dried flowers. On the palate come peat, lemon and salt, with medicinal notes, wood smoke and kippers. The finish is long, salty, sooty and smoky, with a touch of paraffin and a hint of green olives.
