This is a Kentucky straight bourbon at 50% ABV, or 100 proof, in a 75cl bottle, released in September 2026. It was made by Elizabeth McCall, Woodford Reserve Master Distiller, and Caleb Trigo, Old Forester Assistant Master Distiller, in honour of their mentor Chris Morris.
Morris joined Brown-Forman in 1976 and became just the fifth Master Distiller in Old Forester's history. The bourbon draws on whiskies he developed, among them Old Forester Birthday Bourbon, King of Kentucky and Woodford Reserve Double Oaked.
The Kentucky Boy name comes from the Brown-Forman archives. The label dates from 1923, when the company bought Louisville's Lynndale Distillery, and it has been revived to mark Morris's 50 years in bourbon.
