Bruichladdich Yellow Submarine is a whisky named after a Royal Navy submersible that two Islay fishermen found off the distillery stores. This 14 year old Reclassified edition returns to mark the 25th anniversary.
It is unpeated, matured in first fill bourbon barrels (75%) and Bordeaux red wine casks (25%), and bottled at 54.2% with natural colour and without chill-filtration.
Expect crème brûlée, toasted hazelnut and warming spice, with a whisper of Islay sea salt on the finish.
